El Retiro is a beautiful historic mansion in Sierra de la Ventana built in 1904. Estancia El Retiro separates itself from the competition in many ways, but to name a few, the lodge boasts an on-site golf course, swimming pool, breathtaking views but most importantly some of the finest duck, goose, and perdiz hunting available anywhere.

Sierra de la Ventana "window to the mountains" rests in the pampas of Eastern Argentina. This area is known for the most fertile soil in the area as well as a climate very conducive to agriculture. Because of these characteristics of the land this area truly has some of the best Argentina duck, dove and goose hunting available anywhere. This area is approximately 560 kilometers from the city of Buenos Aires and there are several travel options to get to the lodge from Buenos Aires, however most chose a reasonably priced private charter.

Renowned Outfitter and Native Argentinean Floro Lavalle owns this lodge and it has been in the Lavalle family for over a century. Floro has been outfitting Argentina hunting trips for more than 25 years and consistently arranges the best waterfowl hunting trips in Argentina. El Retiro offers impeccable service in first class accommodations and the quality and variety of the hunt are unmatched in an location in Argentina.

A typical hunting excursion at this lodge consists of 5 days of shooting. Generally ducks are hunted the first 2 full days, day 3 and 4 are geese in the mornings and perdiz in the afternoons and ducks in the morning of your 5th day before your transfer to the airport. Your hunts will be productive, and you will obtain your limits of duck, geese and perdiz quickly, so you may opt for high volume dove and pigeon at any point during your excursion. The farm fields in which the dove and pigeon are hunted are very close to the lodge so it is very easy to fill a couple open hours with the thrill of high volume dove and pigeon shooting.
